We’re hiring multiple clinician roles in Mississippi including OB/GYN hospitalists and Site Directors. Featured programs with job openings in Mississippi include:
Anderson Regional Medical Center – North Campus | Meridian
Established in 1928, Anderson Regional Medical Center (ARMC) works to create a high-reliability culture that fosters and supports patient safety as a core value. The hospital offers Expecting Plus, an education program that provides comprehensive information and tools to support new mothers and families throughout pregnancy and into parenthood. It also houses a level II NICU and is a designated Baby-Friendly facility. OBHG initially partnered with ARMC to provide relief to private physicians with heavy call volumes. In this, our hospitalists provide a safety net of quality care to women in the community and relief to the local physicians.
Baptist Memorial Hospital – Desoto | Southaven
The 339-bed hospital is an acute care and surgical facility that has served the northwest Mississippi community since 1988. It is home to a level II NICU and hosts educational classes for new parents. With OBHG’s partnership, the hospital not only provides support to local physicians but also allows OB/GYN resident education to be divided more evenly amongst physicians. In turn, OB/GYN residents are introduced to a different career path that didn’t exist until recently with OB hospitalist practice.
Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County | New Albany
Baptist Memorial Hospital (BMH) houses 10 private labor and delivery rooms and 18 postpartum rooms. BMH houses a level II NICU equipped for newborns with special needs for enhanced care and treatment and is designated a Baby Friendly® hospital. OBHG stepped in when the community lost nearly half of their OB/GYN staff in a short period of time. We were able to help a small town and provide stability not only for hospital coverage but for the community as a whole.
Magnolia Regional Health Center | Corinth
Magnolia Regional Health Center (MRHC) is a 200-bed acute care community hospital. The birthing center boasts the latest concept in maternity services with eight rooms in which mothers can labor, deliver, recover and receive postpartum services. The unit also houses 4 observation beds, 12 nursery beds and is designated a Baby Friendly® hospital. Maternity Services Include 24/7 epidural pain management, Level 1 newborn care, neonatal nurses, breastfeeding consultants, prenatal care and more. Our partnership with MRHC is structured differently, with clinicians working 5-7 24-hr shifts with 10-14 days off. Our presence at Magnolia offers clinic support including outpatient prenatal care, GYN care and GYN surgeries.
Memorial Hospital at Gulfport | Gulfport
Founded in 1946, Memorial Hospital is a non-profit 303-bed hospital and houses the only NICU on the Mississippi Coast, along with spacious labor and delivery rooms that allow patients and families to stay in one space during delivery and recovery. The facility also provides antepartum testing, mother/baby well and high-risk care, and maternal fetal medicine. Prior our presence in Gulfport, the community relied on Memorial Hospital and a nearby Air Force base for OB services. Like many of OBHG’s partnerships, our teams stepped in to support local physicians and offer 24/7 reliable quality care to women in the community.
Mississippi Baptist Medical Center | Jackson
The birthing center at Mississippi Baptist has a level III NICU and delivers approximately1,200 babies annually. The private Labor-Delivery-Recovery rooms are equipped with modern technology. Healthgrades awarded the hospital its Outstanding Patient Experience Award in 2015 and its Patient Safety Excellence Award, putting it in the top 2% of hospitals in the country. Jackson is Mississippi’s largest metropolitan area and with such a large population, Mississippi Baptist called on OBHG to increase staff and support. With our partnership, OBHG has nearly doubled the OB staff and delivery volumes are near capacity. The medical center is now able to offer more GYN care and surgeries.
North Mississippi Medical Center | Tupelo
North Mississippi Medical Center has 650 beds and provides acute care and surgical services. It is the largest not-for-profit, private hospital in the state and serves 24 counties in north Mississippi, parts of Tennessee, and northwest Alabama. It is home to a Level III NICU, three operating rooms, and two Cesarean section rooms, as well as private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms. Like many areas in Mississippi, the population far outweighed the number of OB/GYN physicians in the area. OBHG was able to take pressure off the local private physicians and provide care to those in need.
Ochsner Rush Medical Center | Meridian
Ochsner Rush Medical Center (ORMC) is a 215-bed facility founded in 1915. The hospital’s Family Birth Center features a recently renovated labor and delivery unit with 18 suites where new mothers can experience all phases of the birthing process in a single room. The Birth Center also offers midwifery services and houses a modern, spacious 12-bed NICU. OBHG improved balance within the local physician community by easing the demand for care by being the 24/7 OB presence at ORMC.
