Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is honored to represent a dynamic and diverse team of 1,850+ physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners nationwide. We provide care to patients in their communities and work in partnership with hospitals to achieve the best possible outcomes. In 2025, we are excited to continue expanding our network of exceptional clinicians, meeting the needs of communities large and small across the country. Our mission is to address maternal healthcare challenges head-on and improve outcomes for all.
There has never been a better time to begin a career in OB hospitalist medicine. OBHG offers a career path for modern obstetricians – clinicians who are passionate about making a positive impact on women’s healthcare while maintaining greater balance in their personal lives.
As the nation’s largest and only dedicated OB hospitalist provider, OBHG offers clinicians a rewarding career path with greater flexibility, more time for family, comprehensive benefits, leadership opportunities, and freedom from administrative and business concerns.
We encourage our clinicians to design their careers around their lives, not the other way around. Whether you prefer full-time work, part-time shifts, travel positions, or leadership roles, OBHG provides opportunities tailored to your unique needs. Every day, OBHG clinicians are on hand 24/7 to serve as the maternal safety champions of the labor and delivery unit, triage, support nurses and handle any obstetrical emergencies that comes through the door. They are also lightening the load and reducing burnout for local private practice OB/GYNs, helping to reduce risk and make care safer for everyone.
Just last year, OBHG hired more than 450 clinicians. Their presence in over 290 OBHG partner hospitals and their dedication to patients continues to make a significant difference when every minute counts. Watch one story about a life-saving intervention performed on twins by an OBHG clinician here.
