Each year, the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH) holds an Annual Clinical Meeting bringing together physicians, midwives and others who support the OB/GYN hospitalist model. It’s a great opportunity for OB hospitalists to enrich their knowledge and connect with peers.
This year, two OBHG clinicians were general session speakers. Dr. Rakhi Dimino talked about the impacts OB hospitalists have on maternal mortality and Dr. Jane Van Dis addressed gender gaps in medicine.
OBHG clinicians leading sessions included Dr. Donald Toatley, who co-led a simulation course on shoulder dystocia/operative vaginal delivery and Drs. Eileen Reardon and Lisbeth Jordan, who co-led a simulation course together on opioid overdose and postpartum hemorrhage. OBHG even had a clinician on the winning “Sim Wars” team, Dr. Jennifer Reason.
Because the SOGH Annual Clinical Meeting brings so many of our clinicians together from across the country, multiple OBHG-exclusive meet-up events were held for our “Team OBHG” clinicians, including a dinner in nearby La Jolla, California.
We're proud that many of our clinicians are leading the OB hospitalist profession by serving on SOGH committees, serving as SOGH officers and assisting in the development of the SOGH core competities.
