​​​​​​​Baptist Medical Center East is a 176-bed acute care hospital providing high-quality healthcare and is recognized as a market leader in obstetric and gynecologic services and is home to a state of the art labor and delivery center that includes 16 LDR rooms, a 12 bed high risk antepartum unit, and an 8 bed OB Emergency Department. It also houses 52 newly constructed postpartum rooms and a Level III NICU to provide specialized, high-risk neonatal care. The hospital is home to approximately 4,000 babies each year, making it the second largest delivering hospital in the Alabama.
