The program staffs one OB/GYN physician and one certified nurse midwife on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Founded in 1885, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital has served the Los Angeles community for more than 140 years. Licensed for 408 beds, the hospital performs approximately 1,460 deliveries and 943 triage visits annually and maintains a Level III NICU, providing advanced care for the most critical neonatal cases. Good Samaritan also supports a Family Medicine Residency program, reinforcing its commitment to physician training and clinical education.
The hospital is part of PIH Health, a nonprofit regional healthcare network that includes three hospitals, 100 outpatient medical offices, seven urgent care centers, and a medical foundation employing over 500 physicians and mid-level providers.
PIH Health Good Samaritan’s leadership sought a partner that could strengthen quality, support their employed physicians, and foster a collaborative care environment across the labor and delivery unit. OBHG was selected to help achieve those goals.
