Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, a 184-bed hospital serving Eastern Kentucky, selected Ob Hospitalist Group as a strategic partner to help expand access to obstetrical care, strengthen quality and safety initiatives, and support long-term physician retention in the community.
Supporting growth in women’s services
Hospital leadership has made a significant investment in growing women’s services, including the opening of a new OB/GYN clinic and dedicated marketing efforts to increase awareness and access for women throughout the region.
As part of this growth strategy, the organization sought a partner that could provide operational stability while supporting both clinicians and patients across the continuum of care.
Through this partnership, Ob Hospitalist Group will provide an OB/GYN model featuring 20–24 hour clinic and call coverage shifts designed to improve consistency of care and create a more sustainable environment for providers.
The program will also help support the retention of the hospital’s recently recruited OB/GYN physician while ensuring reliable access to obstetrical services for the surrounding community.
