Norman Regional Hospital | Norman
The 152-bed, state-of-the-art hospital is part of a system that has served the south-central Oklahoma community since 1946. It is home to a level III NICU, a traditional nursery, 16 labor-delivery-recovery rooms, 26 postpartum rooms, and ongoing educational classes for new parents. Norman has approximately 2,500 deliveries and 4,200 OBED visits annually.
Norman is constantly striving to improve the quality of maternal care and has attained Advanced Certification In Perinatal Care by the joint commission. This spring the OBED received first-in-the-nation accreditation by CIHQ (Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality) as a Center of Excellence. The private OB/GYN physicians, nurses and administrators are very supportive of the OBED program and the OB hospitalists. Our next initiative is implementing the Team Birth model in order to further ensure that our clinicians are providing the best maternal care available.
St. John Medical Center | Tulsa
St. John Medical Center has served the Tulsa community for over 90 years. Together with other hospitals in its nonprofit health system, the facility cares for more than 3,500 patients each day. Its Center for Women’s Health is home to a Level 4 NICU with all private rooms, a Breastfeeding Center and comfortable rooms in a friendly atmosphere.
With supportive, family-centered colleagues, OB hospitalists and community OB/GYN physicians have excellent relationships and cooperation. St. John Medical Center is the only accredited trauma center in Tulsa and sees approximately 2000 deliveries annually.
