VIDEO: Clinical OB leadership during the pandemic and every day

During the pandemic, OBHG’s clinical site directors are working hand-in-hand with hospital administrators and medical staff across the country. Watch the video below to learn how our clinical leaders are making a critical impact on maternal safety during the pandemic and every day.

An OBHG clinical site director supports each of our 180+ OB hospitalist programs. These leaders oversee daily clinical operations and lead initiatives for the entire L&D unit, resulting in improved quality and safety for patients.

During the pandemic, our site directors have helped our hospital partners:

  • Develop and implement new procedures for the safety of staff and patients
  • Trained colleagues on proper PPE usage
  • Develop telemedicine options for patients inside and outside the hospital
  • Set up testing systems for pregnant women and medical teams
  • Relocate an entire labor and delivery unit (in some situations)

Although OBHG clinical teams have been serving as leaders within their hospitals during COVID-19, this is what they do every day. They partner with hospital leadership to implement quality improvement initiatives by championing new policies and procedures to reduce C-section rates and improve maternal mortality rates. They are also closely aligned with community physicians and midwives to ensure quality care.

Our hospital partners value having a dedicated clinical expert who can quickly pivot to meet their needs. We look forward to continuing to partner in communities across the country to elevate the standard of care for pregnant women.

If you are interested in learning more about the leadership support our clinical teams provide, a member of our team would be happy to speak with you.
