Welcome Ascension Saint Mary Kankakee in Kankakee, IL to the OBHG family with a Maternal Health Access Solutions (MHAS) Program. This obstetric services model includes 9 days per month of on-call coverage services and 5 days in the OB/GYN clinic.
Hospital leadership is looking to OBHG to provide relief to community OB/GYNs experiencing burnout covering call. OBHG clinicians will provide leadership support, call coverage services, and cover shifts in the OB/GYN clinic.
The hospital is a sister hospital to OBHG hospital partner Ascension Saint Joseph – Joliet. OBHG clinicians at Ascension Saint Joseph – Joliet have been helping the Kankakee hospital short term with call coverage.
The new partnership will expand the relationship to a 9 shift per month Maternal Health Access Solutions (MHAS) program, with OBHG clinicians from Ascension Saint Joseph – Joliet covering shifts in the clinic and providing call coverage services.
Ascension Saint Mary – Kankakee currently performs 514 annual deliveries. The program is OBHG’s fifth partnership with Ascension in the Chicago market and 12th partnership in Illinois.
