Fairfield Medical Center

Fairfield Medical Center, located in Lancaster, Ohio about thirty miles Southeast of Columbus (pictured), serves more than 250,000 residents in Fairfield, Perry, Hocking and Athens counties. A 222-bed, nonprofit hospital, the facility provides full-service, general acute health services, and currently sees about 930 annual deliveries.

Marietta Memorial Hospital

Marietta Memorial Hospital is part of Memorial Health, a not-for-profit integrated health system lead by a volunteer board of community members. Marietta Memorial’s labor and delivery unit offers a high-tech alarm system, breastfeeding support, one-to-one nursing care during active labor, personalized anesthesia services and pre-pregnancy education. It currently sees about 732 deliveries per year.

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center (SRMC) has been providing care to west central Ohio since 1918. OB/GYNs at SRMC pride themselves on providing preconception care and prenatal care to birthing classes and postpartum support. SRMC also has OB/GYN’s in the hospital 24 hours a day and offers high tech fetal monitoring, pain management services, maternal fetal medicine, and lactation services. SRMC currently sees approximately 1,500 annual deliveries.

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital

Mercy Hospital currently performs approximately 1,450 annual deliveries and sees roughly 1,700 annual unscheduled outpatients. The hospital had 476-beds and is a designated Anthem BlueCross BlueShield Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care and the only Three Star Hospital in Stark County, Ohio, in the First Steps for Healthy Babies program – an initiative of the Ohio Hospital Association and Ohio Department of Health that recognizes hospitals for their work to support breastfeeding.
