Mercy Medical Center also has a Level III NICU. Mercy Medical Center currently performs approximately 860 annual deliveries.
Charlton Memorial Hospital | Fall River, MA
Charlton Memorial Hospital offers expert care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, working closely with primary care physicians to ensure a smooth experience. Their maternity services offer compassionate care combined with advanced technology to meet various birth preferences. Charlton Memorial Hospital has a Baby-Friendly designation, VBAC option, family-centered C-sections, and state-of-the-art Level II nursery staffed by Boston Children’s physicians. Saint Vincent Hospital has over 2,000 births a year. Saint Vincent Hospital’s Center for Women and Infants offers 10 warm and comfortable Labor and Delivery rooms. The environment is welcoming and the rooms are equipped with the latest technological innovations used in state-of-the-art childbirth centers (including wireless fetal monitoring). The hospital offers a Level II NICU for special care for premature babies and a dedicated obstetrical anesthesia staff available around the clock.

Heywood Hospital is part of Heywood Healthcare, a community-owned healthcare system serving the residents of North Central Massachusetts. The hospital offers general obstetric and women’s health services, breast health, contraception, Urogynecological services and minimally invasive surgery. Heywood Health Center for Women specializes in VBAC and has one of the lowest C-section rates in Massachusetts. The hospital currently sees approximately 350 annual deliveries.
Clinicians at Maternal Health Access Solutions (MHAS) partner programs nationwide are committed to providing quality OB/GYN care for women in communities with limited or no access, ensuring they receive the care they deserve close to home. In these clinical roles, you can work at a hospital clinic, provide on-call hospital coverage and also offer GYN services to women who need your care. The schedule is flexible, and stipends are offered for expenses.
