OBHG is proud to welcome Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, as its newest partner. The program will ramp up beginning June 1, 2026, with a target launch of a full-time Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Baptist Health Hardin supports approximately 1,000 annual deliveries and 1,800 OB triage visits each year. The hospital is establishing a high-functioning OBED to enhance maternal quality metrics, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen its position in the local market.
Baptist Health Hardin’s objectives for the partnership include:
- Growing delivery volume
- Expanding access to prenatal care across the community
- Reducing the burden on employed OB/GYNs to ensure better access for patients
By staffing the OBED with dedicated OB hospitalists, Baptist Health Hardin will provide immediate, in-house response to obstetric emergencies and triage, supporting both patients and the community’s employed physicians.
This partnership marks several milestones for OBHG:
- OBHG’s 10th partnership in Kentucky
- OBHG’s 3rd partnership with Baptist Health (KY)
- The 18th new OBHG program launched in 2026
These milestones reflect OBHG’s continued growth as the nation’s largest dedicated OB/GYN hospitalist provider and its ongoing commitment to expanding access to consistent, high-quality obstetric emergency care.
As Baptist Health Hardin moves through its ramp period toward the Q4 2026 OBED launch, OBHG will work alongside the hospital’s clinical and administrative teams to build a program grounded in patient safety, quality outcomes, and provider support.
