WHSV3: New mom shares her successful birthing story
Births don't always go as expected. When a patient went into labor early and fetal heart rate tracings showed the baby's heart rate was dipping, OBHG's Dr. Josephs stepped in and performed a C-section when the baby's doctor wasn't available.
The birth story was covered by WHSV3 in Virginia. OBHG's Kim Ownby, a Certified Nurse Midwife, was interviewed as part of the story about the partnership between the OB hospitalists and midwives at the Sentara RMH Medical Center. We are grateful for our partnership with Sentara RMH and celebrate with the parents on the arrival of their healthy, baby boy.
