Forbes: American women are dying unnecessarily in childbirth: How can we stop it?

The author describes the OB hospitalist concept as a “better approach to keeping mothers safe.” The current OB/GYN model is examined, agreeing with the importance of the physician-patient bond during a woman’s pregnancy. The author says that OB hospitalists are the solution to ensure there are fewer maternal deaths.
