Hutchinson

Located less than an hour outside Wichita, Hutchinson is on the beautiful Kansas prairie. Known as “Hutch” to locals, Hutchinson is full of family fun and scenic views. Hutchinson is home to the Kansas State Fairgrounds which boast more than 600 events in a 10-day span on 280 acres during the Kansas State Fair.

Downtown Hutchinson has one of the state’s largest owner-operated antique districts with buildings dating back to the late 1800s. On the third Thursday of the month, artisans, musicians, dancers, and other venues celebrate the arts, music, and community. For aerospace enthusiasts, look no further than the Cosmosphere Space Museum, a STEM education center and the only Smithsonian affiliate in the state. The Cosmosphere houses over 13,000 spaceflight artifacts and has the largest combined collection of US and Russian aerospace artifacts worldwide.
