Renton is located in King County, Washington, just 11 miles southeast of downtown Seattle. The city is located on the southeast shore of Lake Washington. Renton is known as Boeing 737 commercial airplanes’ final assembly point. The city is home to several other well-known technology, manufacturing and service companies. It is the eighth-largest city in Washington, with 97,000 residents.
Renton’s public schools are nationally recognized and there are several private schools in the area as well. Renton has many enrichment opportunities for children and teens through its Renton Youth Council and other programs.
The city is home to a technical college and is within driving distance of many other colleges and universities.
