AdventHealth Gordon

AdventHealth Gordon, part of the faith-based nonprofit AdventHealth system, is focused on whole person care. The Baby Place, the facility's family-centered birthing center, offers a number of amenities including private labor and delivery suites and personal Birth Advocates to guide women through the experience.

The hospital also offers pregnancy and childbirth education classes along with lactation workshops.

AdventHealth Gordon sees about 600 annual deliveries.

Doctors Hospital of Augusta

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is a 354-bed, full-service acute care hospital operated by HCA Healthcare, offering maternity care with an on-site NICU and maternal-fetal medicine program. The hospital holds CMS's Birthing-Friendly designation and is one of only a few Baby-Friendly USA–designated hospitals in Georgia, reflecting recognized best practices in maternity and breastfeeding care.

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (PPMH) offers families a comfortable, relaxing environment in which to welcome their newest family member. The staff takes a patient- and family-centered approach to care, guiding and supporting parents throughout the birth experience. PPMH NICU is a Level III Provider of Newborn Services and Neonatologists are available 24 hours a day at the main campus. The hospital hosts 10 suites for routine deliveries, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, 2 antepartum suites, 2 cesarean birthing suites, and a Mother/baby unit in addition to the NICU.

Piedmont Macon Medical Center

The birthing center at Piedmont Macon Medical Center is a full-service maternity unit with a highly skilled staff that has welcomed thousands of babies to Middle Georgia families. Services and amenities include Maternal-Fetal Telemedicine, midwifery, prenatal visits, childbirth education classes, tours of the birthing center, private birthing suites and breastfeeding support from lactation consultants. Piedmont Macon Medical Center also has a Level III NICU. Piedmont Macon Medical Center currently sees approximately 2,500 annual deliveries.

Piedmont Newnan Hospital

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is proud to have state-of-the-art maternity services and offers maternity tours, breastfeeding basics classes, and inpatient and outpatient lactation support. Piedmont Newnan Hospital has an expanded medical team specializing in maternity care, hydrotherapy and aromatherapy in labor, private labor and delivery triage rooms, and spacious labor and delivery & postpartum rooms. Piedmont Newnan Hospital also has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Piedmont Newnan Hospital currently sees approximately 1,600 annual deliveries.

Piedmont Newton Hospital

Piedmont Newton Hospital is proud to support the Georgia 5-Star Baby-Friendly Initiative, offering exceptional care for mothers and newborns. The hospital provides private rooms, specialized OB/GYN services, and mother/baby couplet care, ensuring most procedures are done bedside. Certified lactation consultants are available for inpatient, outpatient, and phone consultations, supporting all feeding choices. Newborns enjoy uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact during the first hour of life, and the Level III Special Care Nursery provides focused care for preterm infants from 32 weeks. With a skilled healthcare team and community-focused resources, Piedmont Newton ensures a comprehensive and compassionate birthing experience. Piedmont Newton Hospital has 1,800 annual deliveries.

South Georgia Medical Center

South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) has a full-service maternity center that provides every family a safe and nuturing birthing experience. SGMC welcomes 2,400 babies every year. SGMC has a robust care team that includes 24 hour OB coverage, 24 hour anesthesiology coverage, 24 hour neonatology coverage, lactation consultants, and a nursing team. SGMC also has an onsite OB Emergency Department, Level IIB NICU and uses wireless monitoring for mom and baby.

St. Joseph's/ Candler Hospital

St. Joseph's / Candler Hospital 's Telfair BirthPlace is the region's leader in delivering babies. The Telfair BirthPlace has 25 expansive mother/baby rooms and 14 labor and delivery rooms. The Telfair BirthPlace has also received prestigious international recognition as a Baby-Friendly Designated birth facility and received recognition from Baby-Friendly USA, the U.S. authority for the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative ("BFHI"). It also has a Level II NICU and in house obstetrical anesthesiologists. St. Joseph’s / Candler Hospital currently sees approximately 2,820 annual deliveries.
