OB/GYN Physician – Maternal Health Access Solutions

Full Scope Generalist for both inpatient and outpatient services
Clinic coverage M-F
Block scheduling of 5, 24-hour shifts & 10, 8hr clinic shifts
Travel expenses covered
Work 1/3 of the year!

As an OBHG Clinic and On-Call OB/GYN, you will care for the assigned obstetrics and gynecology patients who visit women’s clinics within or connected to our partner hospitals and will also oversee Nurse Practitioners.

This role includes on-call duty on weeknights and weekends. You will not be required to stay on the premises when on call but must be within a 20-minute drive of the facility. OBHG will cover lodging costs.

Hospital Information

Liberty Regional Medical Center’s (LRMC) Perinatal Services Department is a Level I center and provides care to child-bearing women and newborns around the clock. Liberty Regional Medical Center has two OB triage rooms, four labor and delivery rooms, and four postpartum rooms, as well as a newborn nursery. Liberty Regional Medical Center participates in the Georgia 5-STAR Hospital Initiative, which is a program designed to encourage and support breastfeeding. Participation means that LRMC Perinatal Services Department staff have been trained to help mothers initiate breastfeeding within one hour of birth. Liberty Regional Medical Center participates with Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative (GaPQC). GaPQC is a network of perinatal stakeholders working together to improve the quality of care and outcomes for Georgia mothers and babies. GaPQC leads statewide implementation of quality improvement initiatives through technical assistance, quality improvement training, education, and data support to hospitals. Liberty Regional Medical Center currently sees approximately 230 annual deliveries.

The Location

Located 40 miles southwest of Savannah, Hinesville is one of the fastest-growing cities in Southeast Georgia. It is also home to Fort Stewart and the 3rd Infantry Division, the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River. Those visiting Hinesville can see the Warrior's Walk at Fort Stewart and see how its rich military history has shaped Hinesville. The downtown area is known for its Spanish moss-draped live oaks and has a variety of dining, shopping, and a Farmers Market each Saturday. The Hinesville Area Arts Council Gallery has monthly art exhibits to browse and there are several festivals throughout the year, including Blues, Brews & BBQ, the Scarecrow Stroll, and Small World Festival.
