The Opportunity

OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

Hospital Information

UF Health Flagler Hospital offers comprehensive education classes including preparation for childbirth, infant CPR, sibling courses, breastfeeding education, and support groups. Flagler Hospital also has an experienced care team of community physicians, midwives, and anesthesiologists along with a NICU. Flagler Hospital also has been awarded the 2022 C-Section Five Star Recipient from Healthgrades, the 2022 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award from Healthgrades, and the 2022 Vaginal Delivery Five Star Recipient from Healthgrades. Flagler Hospital is also a certified Safe Sleep hospital. Flagler Hospital currently sees approximately 1,300 annual deliveries and 2,000 annual triage visits.

The Location

St. Augustine is located on the northeast coast of Florida and is famous for being the oldest city in America. With over 450 years of history, St. Augustine is known for Spanish colonial influences in its architecture. It is also known for having stunning white sand beaches such as Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Augustine Beach and Crescent Beach. St. Augustine also is home to Anastasia State Park, a four-mile protected wildlife sanctuary with sea turtles, dolphins, birds, and other native wildlife. Along the St. Augustine inlet is The Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th-century Spanish stone fortress and the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States.
