The Opportunity

As an Ob Hospitalist Group Clinic and On-Call OB/GYN, you will care for the assigned obstetrics and gynecology patients who visit women’s clinics within or connected to our partner hospitals and may also oversee a Certified-Nurse Midwife and/or Nurse Practitioner.

This role includes on-call duty on weeknights and weekends. You will not be required to stay on hospital premises when on call but will need to be within a 30-minute drive of the facility. Lodging will be provided, or OBHG will cover lodging costs.

Hospital Information

Beauregard Health System, located in DeRidder, Louisiana, houses a level II NICU and has a neonatologist and MFM physicians on staff. The hospital offers breastfeeding, formula feeding and newborn care classes by specially-trained lactation counselors.

Beauregard sees about 400 deliveries each year.

The Location

DeRidder, the parish seat of Beauregard parish in Louisiana, is located about an hour from Lake Charles, two hours and 30 minutes from Baton Rouge and four hours from New Orleans.

The town has a historic district with several interesting buildings to explore, including a distinctive former jail constructed in the collegiate Gothic architectural style.

Outdoor recreation opportunities close to DeRidder include paddling on lush waterways like Bundick Lake, the Whiskey Chitto trail and Sabine River, and abundant bird and wildlife watching.
