UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY was working with a private physician group for obstetric services and coverage was inconsistent, leading to safety concerns. An evaluation conducted by the hospital’s nurses revealed a need for the actual presence of OB/GYNs in the hospital on a regular basis.
